Santa Clarita Christian School desires
to establish an Endowment Fund that will
provide for financial growth, stability, and
advancement of the school. Friends, SCCS
family members, church members and other
donors will be invited to contribute to this
Fund as God enables them in order to fund
the future of the school ministry.
Description:
The SCCS Endowment Fund will begin as a
money market interest account. When the
Fund reaches $25,000, an investment policy
will be adopted by the SCCS School Board to
produce a greater return on the account.
Purpose:
The purpose of the SCCS Endowment Fund is to
provide more income to Santa Clarita
Christian School. The interest earned from
the Fund will be used for teacher salaries,
special projects, scholarships, or other
education-related needs.
Guidelines:
Only the interest earned from the SCCS
Endowment Fund is to be used for educational
purposes. The principal is not to be
touched, but allowed to grow to increase
interest earned in the years to come.
-
The purpose and use of the SCCS
Endowment Fund cannot be changed in the
future; it must remain true to the
guiding principles set forth in the
establishment of the fund.
-
The SCCS Endowment Fund is to be a
separate fund from other SCCS accounts
and must have separate accounting at all
times. Every donation is to be
recorded, but kept confidential.
-
When contributions are received, the
person making the donation must complete
a donation form that allows for them to
sign indicating their agreement with the
following statement, “I understand that
SCCS can use the interest earned from
this donation for the stated purposes of
the Endowment Fund. I understand that
the School Board of SCCS will make all
decisions regarding the use of the
interest earned from the Endowment
Fund. My intent is that my donation is
a contribution to the school.”
-
In the event that SCCS ever goes out of
business, the School Board will make all
decisions regarding the distribution of
funds and closure of the SCCS Endowment
Fund.
